Sigma Launches 23mm F1.4 DC DN APS-C Lens & 17mm F4 DG DN + 50mm F2 DG DN Full-Frame Lenses

Sigma has announced a trio of new lenses for Sony E-mount. A 23mm F1.4 DC DN APS-C lens along with the 17mm F4 DG DN + 50mm F2 DG DN full-frame lenses.

Sigma 23mm F1.4 DC DN APS-C Lens

The 23mm F1.4 DC DN joins Sigma’s Contemporary range of mid-range priced lenses and will be available for Sony E-mount, L-mount and Fujifilm X-mount.

Constructed of 3 elements in 10 groups including three Super-Low Dispersion (SLD) elements and two aspherical elements. The minimum focussing distance is 25cm / 9.8in.

The Sony E-mount version measures φ65.8mm× 78.9mm / 2.6in. × 3.1in and weighs in at 330g / 11.6oz.

The lens features a 52mm filter thread and comes with a petal-style hood.

It will be available from late April 2023 for a retail price of $549.00 US.

Sigma 17mm F4 DG DN Full-Frame Lens

The Sigma 17mm F4 DN DG is a relatively compact wide-angle prime lens for full-frame cameras. As well as Sony E-mount it will also be available for L-mount.

Its metal construction consists of nine elements in eight groups, including two special low dispersion (SLD) elements and three aspherical elements. The minimum focussing distance is 12cm / 4.8in and there’s also an aperture ring.

The Sony E-mount version measures φ64.0mm × 50.8mm / 2.5in. × 2.0in. and weighs in at 220g / 7.8oz.

The lens features a 55mm filter thread and comes with a petal-style hood.

It will be available from late April 2023 for a retail price of $599.00 US.

Sigma 50mm F2 DG DN Full-Frame Lens

The Sigma 50mm F2 DG DN full frame lens will be available for both Sony E-mount and L-mount.

It features a bright F2 maximum aperture and is made up of eleven elements in nine groups, with a single SLD element and three aspherical elements.

Like the 17mm it also features a metal construction along with an aperture ring and petal-style hood. The minimum focussing distance is 45cm / 17.8in and there’s a 58mm filter thread.

The Sony E-mount version measures φ70.0mm × 70.0mm / φ2.8in. × 2.8in. and weighs in at 345g / 12.2oz.

It will be available from late April 2023 for a retail price of $639.00 US.
