Pre-orders for the new Sony a7 III have now started in the US, UK and around Europe. Shipping is planned for April in the US and March in Europe. With the number of high-end features Sony have packed into this new camera, and the positive response it has received in many camera forums, it could potentially fly of the shelves in record time.

The new a7 III battery (NP-FZ100) that is also shared by the a7R III and a9 was also recently out of stock at many places in the US. So if you are planning on purchasing the a7 III, you may want to order at least one spare battery sooner rather than later. You can order the NP-FZ100 through Amazon.com, Adorama, B&H Photo, and many other online and local camera stores.

The a7 III is not yet listed on Amazon.co.uk, but hopefully it will be up soon.
You might also want to check with your local camera store. If there is a lot of demand, then sometimes the larger online stores can be swamped and you will get your new camera faster by ordering from a smaller local store.
