Sony a7R V Pre-orders in the US start today at 10am ET, Thursday Oct 27. In Europe pre-orders have already started.
If you have a good local store then I’d recommend supporting them before the bigger stores.
Based on past pre-orders you’ll typically need to order in the first hour or two from the larger stores if you want to receive one of the first shipments.
First shipment is planned for mid-November in Europe and mid-December in the US. So hopefully just in time for Christmas! 🙂

As you say, supporting a smaller local store is best if possible. Also this may actually get you a camera faster than signing up for a list with one of the big national names, because you may be first or second on their list. I read on another forum this happened to several people with the Nikon Z9 release.
