Welcome! Nice shot you got there! :)

Welcome to the forum Robert and thanks for joining up and saying hello :) Great shot of the shortie! How are you enjoying the a1?

I can honestly say it is the best camera I have ever used. Particularly for subject lock on. Like most bird photographers, I'd like even better low light high ISO performance, but I'm amazed at which it recoverable with Topaz tools. The A1 + 600/f4 is a stunning combo, readily hand held, although I sometimes use a monopod.

I've had a lot of cameras.. Nikon and Olympus, and previous Sony iterations (A77). The one body I still have hugh fondness for was the Nikon D3S. The low light performance was amazing (admittedly, 12 mpix sensor, but still...)

That is very high praise! :) Glad to hear you are enjoying it so much! I've hired one briefly and it was definitely a cracking camera. I may be allowed to buy one if we ever complete our house purchase, although with another child on the way that money is probably going to get sucked up on nappies and wet wipes!

I'm fortunately past that phase - the A1 was a retirement present :)
