That is a lot of notifications I just thought I'd experiment with a point based rewards system. So you can earn reward points from interactions, helpful answers, starting posts etc.. It needs a little fine tuning.

I got my award for 5,000 posts .

Impressive. But the reality is less than ten percent of that


My more serious view of that sort of thing is no, it is not worthwhile. It doesn't actually help to be told by a machine, with fake-human expressions, oh wow, you made your first post; Great, somebody replied to you; etc etc. Also, I want Notifications to be something about/from fellow members: likes, replies, etc etc... not machine spam

I think the tags with the user name are ok, and express to all whether we are newbies or part of the furniture.

I'm guessing that is actually for 500 posts but for some reason it says 5000. Will hopefully get the bugs ironed out.
