Coots nesting in Canary Wharf, London. The same image with two different crops. The first image is about 10% of 42 megapixels.

What colorful chicks. In a quiz I would never paired them up with the parents. I love the picture with the proud father.

Ed said to Johnny... Oh he's good.
I was out to Alberta over Easter to see my son and grand kids and snuck out to see if I could find these guys. Just as the sun rise. Temp was -6*C a surprise to me.Ebird says this area is their breading grounds, there are 6 birds and all are breaders. Cool to watch them. I only had a short time there as I had to get back...I could have spent much more time there!

This little finch sat perfectly framed in the sunlight. I felt he (she?) was singing just for me.

Wonderful!

Crow drying off after a dip in the Thames. He is pirched on the chimmney pot of The Yacht pub on the Thames at Greenwich. Given the low light conditions, it was sunset, it was really difficult to pull out the details from the crow. I had to work hard in LrC.
