As we see them at the feeding station at home in Tasmania.

Nice shot Greg. They are lovely little birds. We get them occasionally in our garden but not as often as the goldfinch. I counted 20 of those visiting at the same time the other day.
 
As far as I know these are not on mainland Australia.
This is a really nice shot and I had no idea these were here.
I think we are heading to Tassie early next year and this will be another one to look out for.
I have got a list which I am making a study on so I sort of know where to look.

I understand they are introduced and appear all year round in Tasmania. Often in the mix with sparrows and at times difficult to tell apart. Give me a yell if you need a few tips on NW Tas bird haunts.

Thanks for that and I appreciate that and I will let you know closer to the time if that is okay as I know we are going for 10 days our start point is Devenport.
