Tim these are nice birds and good job even if they were from inside (y)
Thanks Gary. Only the first was from inside, the second I just about managed to sneak the window open :) It would be open all of the time if I had my way but the wife doesn't like being cold!

Fantastic Tim. Really nice. I never get the camera on our regular these days, she's off too quick.

Beautiful Kes Gary.
Cheers Kev. Are you sure it's not just old age slowing you down? ;)

Bloody cheek. No! By the time I see her and even get the camera I need to get outside because my windows are no good to shoot through.

😀 I always keep a camera handy just in case I see anything interesting outside. We are lucky that our windows are old and aren’t too bad to shoot through. I’ll always grab a window shot before trying to sneak the window open, definitely better than nout.

The Mrs moans if I leave it laying around :D

Here's some advice. This is really the best way to handle it, and will lead to a more fulfilling, sharing marriage. When she complains about your camera, just say quietly:

"STFU and make me a sandwich!"

This works. Trust me.

Let us know how it turns out...

You're welcome.
It's my 30th Wedding Anniversary next month and I already have her present, so I think I might hold off until then :D

recent kestrel shots from January I was lucky enough to watch this male for a while

These two put on an amazing aerial ballet in the rain this morning. They were way out over the water under overcast skies.

Lovely pictures... but the first one gets my "trophy" award!

This morning, I watched as a mature Bald Eagle swooped down, and then, at the last moment, it flew by, leaving the duck unharmed. I missed the shot, but moments later, a juvenile Bald Eagle followed the same flight path.

Once again, at the last moment, the eagle flew past, leaving the duck alone.
