Floral photography

Focus stack of 20 images and processed in Photoshop.View attachment 34391
You must be finding some absolutely windless days to be doing focus stacks of flowers outside. I'm kinda jealous lol every time I go to take pictures in the garden, it's high ISO and fast shutter speed to prevent blurring!

Don't know what this flower is but I think it is interesting that the back of the pedals are duel colored

ST, I was wondering what these are, we have them growing just outside my house. They always remind me of something from a Sci-Fi movie.

Even if the 40mm f2.5 may not be the best for this type of photography, I had fun at the park this afternoon shooting some gorgeous water lilies. They were the only flowers in bloom, as Spain is in the middle of a drought period.

For pictures 1, 2 and 4 I used CIZ and MF, 3 is regular 40mm and AF.

Nice! I went to go take pictures of some water lilies I saw earlier in the day, but by the time I went back they had closed. I never realized they do that within the same day!

I just learned that from your post haha. In the same pond there were some flowers full or half open and other closed... And now I realise the open ones still had direct sunlight on them... When I was there I didn't think about the difference.

Overcooked the bokeh. :) I should try and stack this plant while it’s in flower.

I saw some Water Lilies in a pond beside the road and pulled over to take a pic. Unfortunately, I think I needed a longer lens.
