Hi everyone, I would like to know if a 2x converter would be any good with my Sony 55-210 mainly to save money on a hugely expensive lens. Thanks. (please be nice )

unfortunately there isn't a 2x converter for that lens.
The Sony converters are, unfortunately, not universal and they only work with specific FE (full-frame) lenses.

Hi FowlersFreeTime, Thank for answering my question, I'll keep saving my pocket money...LoL, (y)
Dave, to give you something to save towards, consider the APSC Sony 70-350mm or the Full Frame Tamron 50-300mm, when you're ready to buy. Both have optical stabilization built into the lens: Sony calls it optical steady shot (OSS), Tamron calls it vibration control (VC); which would be beneficial since your camera body does not have in-body image stabilization (IBIS)
