This may be just me and too much vino over Christmas but does anyone with the A9 Mk1/2 and A1 find that there are times when the A9 images seem to have a bit more impact than the images from the A1?
The reason I'm asking is that I took the A9 out today with the 200-600mm, I shoot in manual so the settings were the same as I would use with the A1. When I processed the images they seemed to jump out the screen more than those from the A1 do.

Yes Iain a9 wins in the current lighting here in the uk I will not part with the a9 mk1, what`s more it sticks on target better, tracked or not, less noise, and locks on quicker versus A1.

I'm not feeling any pixel shortage on the A9 III. I did on the A9 II, which is why I leapt upon the A1 - however, I'm convinced my problem there was because of the component 6 inches behind the viewfinder!

I still don't have my A1 II (grrr! Sony Australia has been slow to deliver cameras to dealers - some nonsense about a public holiday...), but I'm looking forward to comparing the 24 v 50 question with pretty much all other factors being equal - particularly the same AF.
