Sony A7R IV A7R4 versus A77M2 video stabilization

Hi everyone! I recently purchased a new A7R4 from B&H and am slowly working my way through Gary Friedman's guide.

In the past I've been an A-mount shooter. I don't normally shoot video, but this week shot a couple videos of my girlfriend's garden using the new A7R4. I am delighted with the quality, but was a bit surprised that the camera seemed 'jerkier' than videos I've taken with my A77M2. There seemed to be more camera shake with the A7 vs A77.

Perhaps I'm just getting older and jerkier... but I'd love to hear what people think.

Which lens are you using Russ? Some lenses have OSS (Optical Steadshot) that improves the stabilization over using a lens without and just relying on the in-camera stabilization.

Hi Tim, I was using an SEL2470G on the A7R4. Don't recall which lens on the A77ii. I'll try the same on both and see what I get. Thanks!
