Sony A7 III Back Lit Photography

Does anyone shoot back lit photos. I had the canon 5d mark iii and got the creamiest most amazing back lit photos and lighting but the Sony a7iii doesn't have the same effect. I am wondering if anyone uses some techniques that work well for them?

Not sure if this is the kind of back-lit situation you are referring, too. I struggle a bit acquiring focus in this occasions, other than that I am pleased with what my 7M3 gives me.

what lens are you using? a lot of it will depend on your lens and and aperture, not the camera.

the animal shots are the sony a7riv & 200-600mm @ f/7.1 and f/8.0. the cactus shot is the fuji 50r & 100-200mm @ f/5.6.
