This image was Highly Recommended in The Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year in the Landscape Category 2023.
I was drawn to the the snow blasted fronts of the trees in contrast to the dark areas not catching the snow.....on this evening it was -7Deg C at sunset and the freezing fog was rolling in the background creating the soft muted palette hues .
I have recently received the book of all the winners, highly commended and commended and it's amazing to see this image in it.
