Any specific setting for BIF with the 200-600? I've read somewhere people recommended turning OSS off.
Fantastic. How did you get to eye level? Was there a natural elevation? This thread is dedicated to birds in flight images.
Here's one of a red kite at Bwlch Nant yr Arian (mid Wales) just to get the ball rolling.
Shot with the a7III + 200-600.

I will be at Knepp for a rewilding workshop next week. Hope to catch a glimpse of these amazing birds! Great photo!Missed this thread when I joined up! We are very fortunate to live 20 minutes from the Knepp Rewilding Project, where they have re-introduced the White Storks to the UK, and where they have successfully bred this year. It's been great to watch, and the birds picked a nesting site with easy access. No need to get close, they fly past at 30 ft sometimes, like this Just about fitted in frame at 300mm.View attachment 1035
A female Cardinal and a Titmouse zip through the air!
Sony A9 with 200-600mm lens. Handheld. I was trying to capture some small birds in flight and with wings tucked. Just took a lot of patience , persistence, 20fps and yes some luck. lol

Shutter too slow? Some Hummingbirds coming to the feeder. A6400 w/Sigma 100-400. All uncropped. The last 3 have identical exif: F6.3, 1/2000, 282mm. Why the double exposure look on two?View attachment 1380View attachment 1381View attachment 1382View attachment 1383
Not at 1/2000. Found out with silent shutter setting, causes rolling shutter or "long" exposure.Shutter too slow?
It may be rolling shutter but 1/2000s is certainly too slow. Not at 1/2000. Found out with silent shutter setting, causes rolling shutter or "long" exposure.
Well done.Hi ! I am very newbie to this, one of my first BIF experience Barn swallow . A7iii and 200-600 mm . Only cropped , jpg , no postprocessing ( not good at it ), there are some sensor dust that could have been removed . I find sensor dust a rather big issue on this camera, even I try to be precautious .View attachment 1704
