Boys' Soccer Scrimmage

I decided to take advantage of a local boys' soccer team having a scrimmage at 5:30 yesterday afternoon so I thought I would take advantage of them playing the first half in daylight to get some shots. I took my Sony a7RV, FE 100-400 GM, and FE 70-200 GM OSS2 along with the 1.4x TC.

First time I have seen the words soccer and scrimmage used in the same sentence but anyway, you'd have to be pretty happy with these shots. You have captured the action well.

Basically high school teams here are allowed a certain number of practice matches before the actual season begins and they label them as scrimmages. When I checked their schedule I noticed that they don't have any early matches this year so this scrimmage was the only chance I would have of having a chance to get shots before sunset. The lighting on the field is not great so I normally have to shoot a little slower shutter speed and much higher ISO and that only using my 70-200 f/2.8 (sometimes with the 1.4x TC). Once Daylight Saving Time begins I will be able to shoot the girls' games and the JV boys' games in full daylight.
