Sony A7 IV C1 button (shutter speed)

I read about someone setting up the C1 button to adjust shutter speed, aperture, and other camera settings for capturing birds in flight. When they released the button, it reverted to the regular settings. How would you approach this?

You're referring to 'Custom Hold'. Read this thread all the way through.

I have three custom holds programmed. One on C1, one on AF-On, and one on AEL.

Got it setup and thanks for pointing me in the correct direction.
