Hey shooters!

I’m about to buy another battery (official) for my A7iv and I would love to have a charger so I could charge 2/3 batteries at once.

I saw that Sony has an official dual charger for about $120 and saw a company called “nitecore”
that sells a slim charger for the No-Fz100 for about $30. Other similar cost around $20-$30.

Is it safe to buy a non-Sony charger? Is the Nitecore option legit? LINK FOR NITECORE

Also saw a K&F concept catheter on Amazon, any thoughts about it? LINK FOR K&F

How about an Orange unit from SmallRig that can charge up to 4 at once? LINK FOR SMALLRIG

Are any of these chargers a good option for the battery?

Thanks in advance,
Max

I will be in Tokyo next week so if you know any good and reliable places for this equipment,
Please let me know!

I have the Sony one - it comes in the box with the A1 mark II. It works well for me, as long as you connect it to a sufficiently powerful USB-C PD charger (if you use a 10W or 15W block it will sit there and flash alternating yellow lights at you - I think that's as close as it can get to laughing at you: "You think I am going to be powered by that puny thing?").

I've never used an off-brand charger.

In the past I've just used the previous in-the-box charger, or sometimes two of them to charge two batteries. I've used the same old charger for 4 years without a problem - they definitely seem to last.

Excellent piece of kit. Takes about an hour to charge two batteries from flat.
Looks unique Dave, Thanks!

Is it also a powerbank?

I mean if I am not charging my sony batteries, can I change my phone (or any other device) with a cable?

I've used one like this for years now with no issues. It came with two batteries and I mostly used it because at the Sony single charge needed a wall plug and this one I could just plug into a power bank when out on trips.

No, it needs a mains or 12v input.

This one is exactly that though.

llano NP-FZ100 Camera Battery 18W Fast Dual USB C Charger, Compatible with Sony A7iii, A7R V, A7R IV, Alpha A7C, A9/A9S, A6600,A7R3, ZV-E1, FX3, FX30, Smart Digital Display (Black) https://a.co/d/dLiKDB4

It will charge two sony batteries from flat from it's internal battery or you can plug anything into it.

I have one for when I'm off grid and so far I have found it to be very good. My only reservation is the longevity of the internal battery. So far I haven't found any power banks which maintain their initial (when new) capacity over a period of years. Time will tell.

Also check out K and F NP-FZ100

The have a built in USB C input, so you literally charge them from anything.

The only issue I have with them is, their rated capacity is 2600mah. In theory, they should last slightly longer than the original battery. My experience is the opposite. Still good though.

Thank you Dave, the Ilano looks good!

I did see another version of it, with a much higher mAh capacity - shown in picture.

Do you know where can I get it?

Also, can you please share the K&F lonk please?

Again, I appreciate all the help!

Thank you,
Max.
