I don't know, Clint. I give them lots of space and try not to startle them. I've never seen them approach people.

They can be found on the mudflats in the environmentally sensitive area at Blackie Spit. There's signage that asks that people avoid disturbing the wildlife. Birders in the area will scold you if you do.

We have ones like those around here and they hang out with the Oyster Catchers, any sniff of a human and they're out of there!

Lol! Well, at this point I'm pretty much naked hey..!
I've never used social media and when I was about 22 or so, my girlfriend at the time basically went crazy because she said I 'had' to have Facebook. Anyway, she made a Facebook for me which I never logged in to. When I broke up with her and she told me that I think I'm superman. So I logged into FB and got a picture of me with no shirt on, hand drew a cape on in paintbrush and put it as my profile picture. She went nuts..! I deleted it all a week later. So now everyone knows my complete Facebook career, there ya go...

Dunlin Golden Hour Roosting Rush...........

It was dark with a heavy mist when I shot this yesterday morning.
I had been creeping up slowly to get closer to the Great Blue Heron in the lower foreground when I heard the Dunlin approaching. I raised the camera to catch the Dunlin as they soared by.
