I saw this Eastern Swallowtail Butterfly on our butterfly bush and he hung around long enough for me to take many photos with different lenses. Here are some of the shots to compare.

All three lenses work well, I think. The longer lenses make it a little easier to get a shot without scaring off the insect while the 90mm is better for more detail if you can get close. Here is a macro shot that is pretty close to the minimum focusing distance taken with the 90mm and the only crop was to change to a sqaure image so it is 6336 x 6336.
