Sony A6100 Focus issues

I was out at a petting farm last weekend, and thought I would get some images of my granddaughter with the animals.
The camera was giving the green light (InFocus) but looking back on the screen, they appear to be out of focus. What's going on?

Hard to say without seeing the images. Can you upload some examples? If they were definitely in focus then it could be motion blur if the shutter speed was too slow.
