Greetings from Daaden, Germany

Hello everyone, I am a retired Navy Veteran (Hospital Corpsman) and this is my first post (one pending with photos) to this forum. My wife and I moved from Seattle Washington Jun 2022 to Germany (she is German and her parents live here), bought a house in the woods and work for a Medical Device company as a Project Manager. We have an amazing Garden that she maintains and have over 30 species of birds to photograph from our windows, a bird hide I created and a portable hide as well. We also have deer, foxes and a Mouse Weasel (to take care of the mice) that frequent our garden, as well as a family of Raccoons and a Pine Marten as well. We have 2 dogs, a German Shepherd named Chloe and a Greyhound named Maggie. I shoot with the Sony A1 and have the following lenses: 200-600mm G OSS lens, the 70-200 f4 G Master and the 24-70 f2.8 G Master.

Hello Lance. My previous newcomer. I hope you like it, living in Europe-Germany. Compared to the US a lot things are familiar, a lot of things not. Regarding landscape photography the US. especially the west, is my favourite. You are lucky to have a lot of wildlife in your neighbourhood. Coming from the Netherlands, a really overcrowded country, we moved to Italy. Unfortunately a country of passionated hunters. So wildlife is still limited here. Bur our scenery is beautiful. Almost as beautiful as the west.
