Sometimes when I'm inside shooting a person with strobes I first expose for the background and then the subject is basically a sillouette, so dark that it's hard to see the subject at all and the autofocus really struggles.
Normally I'll just turn the Live View Display OFF and this then brightens up the viewfinder so I can focus on the subject. However yesterday when turning off the Live View Display didn't change the viewfinder at all.
Curious why does it brighten up the viewfinder sometimes and not others? And second how would you remedy this situation so you can autofocus on the subject easier?
