Travel I just happened to be in Barcelona last week on a cruise and one of the rounds of the Louis Vuitton yacht racing on

Ok so I was in Barcelona last week on a cruise and when we returned to the ship we realized that one of the legs of the world series yacht racing was being run and filmed live outside the harbour in the distance, so I headed for the 17 deck with my camera and travel short zoom the 70-200 f4 g1 to see if I could grab any shots. Well the boats were racing for the most part thousands of metres outside the harbour but here is a small sample of early edits some from the harbour as the Uk boat returns and press helis

Those sailboats can get up to some impressive speeds, nice shots. A very cool bonus experience on your cruise.

For sure Chris, it was unexpected we were lucky the helis were putting down a few hundred yards away under the fly over next to the ship

Wow, weird boats! In an interesting way, that is. Lovely pics from a great opportunity.

I never had any time for racing, let alone hulls and rigs that are entirely dedicated to that cause. But, just as in the days when the first tea to reach home got the highest price, there is no doubt that racing sailors are absolutely the best and highest skilled. Have to be.

(I was the same with rowing: I would never have done it as a sport, but I could spend all afternoon just pottering)
