I've been using pergear primes off amazon for a couple of years now. I always get them on promotions. No issues and they work fine in my A1. They also do a standard which is slower, watch out for that.

But for that price and difference between 640 and 1 tb, which one you would keep?

Sony cards are overpriced. Angelbird are generally good value and if a camera comes out that supports 4.0 you will be able to take advantage of the faster speeds in-camera, but you might be waiting for the A1 III for 4.0 support.

Plus you can transfer from the card to the computer faster with a 4.0 reader

I bought a Prograde V4 card instead of either of these :) also V4, but 960GB. I think it was cheaper but that was with a discount (you can get 15% by signing up to their newsletter before buying on their site), and international via DHL is free.

FWIW…

I don't use cards that big. 256gb is plenty for me.
I always felt that way, too, that I didn't need a large-capacity memory card, that I didn't like "putting all of my eggs in one basket," so to speak.... Back in the summer I had a need for a card larger than the 160 GB that I had been using, and since I have always preferred Sony Tough cards and the next largest size was 320 GB, I thought about this a while, then finally gulped and took the plunge.

I am surprised at how often this card and its larger capacity has been really valuable to me and even though the darned thing was expensive in the end I am more than happy that I did purchase it. Absolutely worth the money after all!

In my case it was the 480GB Progear - not because I fill it, but because I don’t have to worry about “maybe another card”? And as mentioned earlier, gee, the V4 cards download fast!
