I gt a new FE2.8 24-35 Lens and trying a Maven Infrared Filter IR720with no luck. Everything is coming out all red not like the photos I see online. I am using setting I sourced from the we. F8, 20 seconds, ISO400, daylight white balance. If anyone has any experience with one of these filters are a similar one I'd love to hear some suggestions.

I've got one of these also but I still haven't used it yet so I'd be interested in any input also. I haven't even done a lot of research yet but I believe your settings are probably a good starting point. I saw recommendations to try to start with bright sun, blue sky & green foliage & maybe water. What subject/s were you taking. There also may be a knack to post processing these for the best effect. I think B&W is easiest.

Richard,
Thanks for your response, here are some photos and a sample of their website. The closest one to what I was expecting had some way different settings. I was shooting out my back window, I was doing a bunch of other stuff and just wanted to see if I could come close, the subject was in brights sun and it was a blue sky.... I'll try some more out in the full sun but still a little bit disappointed. At least there's no dreaded halo effect! ha

I'm not sure I'm allowed to post this but it was off their website and I'm just pushing it to show what the image is supposedly supposed to look like, I think this filter does only black-and-white but I've seen some cool other Urth filters that do some pretty psychedelic color shots...

I'll have to do further research & pull my finger out & go do some of my own testing...
