I have enjoyed the forum and site over the last two years but its time to move on.
After using a friends Nikon Z8 for the last two weeks and bring a Nikon user for the past 25 years I am going back to Nikon. It has been good to know everybody on one of the most friendly forums I have been on, I will pop in now and again to see how things are going.

Sorry to see you go this is one of the issues of a one brand forum Iain, it would be nice to see the difference between brands on one site but that`s not here, I guess you are buying into nikon system then? I keep looking at the system and the lens line up. Anyway all the best Iain hope the nikon works well for you :)

I have two Nikon lenses that will work with the ftz adapter but I am getting a 180.600 Z lens. It will be interesting to compare it with the 200-600.

Thanks for all your photos and input you have given the forum. Never used anything other than Sony myself but must admit would like to try another system just to see the results.

Sorry to see you go. Please post some comparison shots if you get a chance.

I’ve used Canon, Nikon, and Sony, and I really liked the D8xx cameras - if the Z8 is like them, I can easily understand the attraction.

Funnily enough, the one thing that I never got completely comfortable with was turning the lenses the opposite way when mounting them on the camera. Not saying one way is right and the other wrong - just that it’s different. I imagine a long term Nikon user would have the same experience in reverse.

They do. I hate the sony mount!

Sorry to hear that you will be leaving us Iain, you will definitely be missed here. The Z8 does seem like a very nice camera to move on to though. Feel free to hang around and drop some shots in our Non Sony Camera Forum. I did almost setup a Nikon Z Shooters Forum a few years back, but just didn't have time to manage another forum in the end. I'm sure you will be creating some cracking shots with the Z8 in no time at all. All the best with your new adventure! :)

I will quite happily put some stuff in that forum Tim as I've said this is one of the nicest forums I have been on.
