New York City Subway Shots

Even though I love wildlife, birds and landscape photography, I also really enjoy street photography. Whenever I can, not often these days, I love going to NYC for a weekend and shooting street. These are from different subway stations. I find if a challenge with the light, but also a lot of fun at the same time. What is amazing with this series is that everyone was on there smart phones, oblivious to the world around them, a sign of the times.

I remember when groups of people would be on the platform chatting and what not. Back before technology made the world such a better place...

You should see the gym, it's appalling. I've never taken my phone in there and I'm pretty much a lone soldier. I've said for a long time that 98% of people must really just find the weight equipment more comfortable than their lounge, because that is what they use it for. What I do know for sure is they aren't there to train. I go off at the young guys all the time!

I applaud you for bringing yourself to take shots of these zombies mate, I know I wouldn't be able to...

LOL, so very true, isolation eveywhere you look these days because of phones. Thank very much.

Thank so much Jeff, really appreciate it. Been my hobby since I was 14, and still get excited when I go out to shoot.
