Hi all,

I am on macOS Sonoma 14.7 on a maxed out 2019 Intel MBP 16".
When browsing clips in Finder shot on my Sony A6700, the preview window doesn't generate a preview, which is very annoying as I have to open each clip to see what's inside it rather than quickly scrolling through them all in Finder. Quicktime struggles to play them if they are shot in 4K 50p it seems which may be related.

They play fine in VLC, and Ina. I've tried setting them as the default app to open them, but to no avail.

Does anybody have any idea how I can get these clips to display in the column preview winded in macOS Finder please?

Best way to preview your videos is just select a clip & press the space bar. Any Intel Mac may struggle with your 4K 50p video. I have an A7RV & a Mac Studio M2 Max. I generally just shoot in 25p.
