Question about lens that has fallen.

Hey guys,
I have a rather weird question to ask you.

Yesterday I have dropped my camera + lens from a knee height, the lens is Zeiss 85mm 1.8 Batis, camera is A7iv.

When I try to gently shake them, I don’t hear any rattle coming from inside the camera but I do hear something coming from the lens.

Does any one else had this lens and can tell me if the rattle exists or did something happen to it? I took off hood and cap, still makes sound.

I don’t want to take it to the lab unless I absolutely have to.

There are many parts in a lens. I would try taking a photo and running through the full focus range.

Set to manual focus and then rotate the focus ring so that you go from nearest to furthest being sure to see that it is actually moving the focus.

Try it with the camera switched on and off. Some lenses have parts that will move when the camera is off. It will slide up and down the barrel of the lens rather than rattle.

I still hear a tiny rattle from lens both when the camera is on and off...

focus seems to be normal both on AF and MF

What is images stabilization and can I make sure it isn`t compromised?
lens is ZEISS BATIS 85mm 1.8
