Sony APS-C telephoto on A7Riv body?

I've read some interesting reviews on the Sony G APS-C 70-350mm lens, as it being a better build and lighter lens, than the FF 70-300 version. Has anyone had any experiemce using one of the
APS-C lenses on their A7r3 or A7r4 bodies? Even in "crop mode' there should be enough MPs for lots of detail in the telephoto shots. Any input would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

I found a super deal on a mint FE 70-300mm for even less than a E 70-350mm, so I'm going with that for now. I won't have the extra on the end, but will have the ability to crop and enlarge that way if needed. Will wait for a deal on the new Sigma 100-400 DN as I'm one of those frugal guys that hates paying retail for camera gear that usually depreciates like a rock after you've bought it.

Is the lens able to resolve as finely as a 61mp sensor?
I would doubt it so why bother?
