  1. Yes
While out running errands I saw a group of wild turkeys in a grassy area just off the highway. After returning home I grabbed my A7RV and RX10iv and returned to see if they were still there. I saw three but only one was in the open so I could some shots.

Never seen a wild one before. The brush of hairs on the chest for want of a better term is something I didn't know existed.

More colourful than I expected too.

This is a male, or tom, turkey in breeding plumage which is why it is so colorful. The hairs are, appropriately enough, called a beard and this one is pretty impressive from what I've seen. There were at least three turkeys in the area when we drove by the first time and when I got there there were two that I think were females in the distance and this male close enough to me to get the photos. I'm glad that this is the one I could see. Here's another shot showing the beard.

Cool, every day a school day.

I kept three one year. Towards Christmas, one got stolen. We called the other two George and Mildred. At the time we had a guest house and the whole family came to us for Christmas Dinner. George and Mildred joined us as well.

I never knew that their feather has suck a shinny sheen to it's feathers.
This has add such a beauty to them I think. And it would be great to see one.
Well done.
