Newbie with a beginners question.
This has been bugging me for a while, and I can't seem to find an answer.

I am using my new A7 iv, which I love.

I know that I can zoom in on parts of a saved image on the rear screen by double tapping etc.
But, is it possible to zoom in to a saved image whilst reviewing it through the viewfinder and if so, how?

Solution
Press the af on button, whilst viewing through the evf. It is also marked with a magnifying glass. You can zoom in and out and move around the image using the scroll wheel.

To go back to the full image, press the play button.
Just tried this:- After using AF to magnify, you can use your thumb on the LCD to scroll the picture in the viewfinder, and a double tap cancels the magnification.

I think that, to stuff like that (and, eg, move focus points around) in the EVF you need to have touch pad enabled as well as touch screen. That I didn't check.

NB. Magnify goes to the last magnification strength you used. That can be zero, as you can "zoom" all the way out. This is confusing at first, pressing magnify and nothing seems to happen. Just use the wheel to zoom in.

NB2. You can specify if magnify is around the centre or around the focus point. I always use focus point. It checks that it is where I wanted it, and how well/sharp it did it.
