Sony A7S III A7Siii 2 Different Icons Sets on 2 A7Siii Cameras

I have 2 Sony A7Siii cameras, they were purchased about 1 ½ years apart. I just upgraded the firmware of both cameras using the same download files for each. Both cameras are now running version 3.02.


However, the icons which show on the display and in the viewfinder are different for each camera. I don’t mean just which icons show, but the icons themselves look different. I much prefer the old icon looks. Is there a way that I can change look of the icons that display?


Picture 1 is the old format which I prefer.

Picture 2 is the new format which I don’t care for.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Hi Dan,

On screen 1 you are displaying your settings with live view. Picture 2 is displaying the new quick menu. if you swipe the screen these will open or close.

The good news is there is nothing wrong, you just need to familiarise yourself with these features.
