Recently at my local gardens I saw this butterfly and was so excited when I noticed it had landed and stayed still, that I forgot to set a narrower aperture (was previously taking photos of flowers in the shade) 🤦‍♂️ So anyways, this was taken at f2.8 when I should have been using something more like f8.

There will be more opportunities soon. I plan to test the new-to-me Tamron 50-300 at an actual butterfly park when I receive the lens.

Great shot Chris. Looks like the head is in focus so that's the important part :) At f/8 the background might of become a little more distracting, it's nice and smooth here.
