The rumours are a bit boring at the moment - I’d like to hear something more exciting, so I thought, why don’t we speculate / articulate / discuss some things we’d like to see in future Sony announcements.

30 fps is plenty for me. The cheaper, faster storage option would be nice, but I've invested heavily already.

Global shutter, now that I understand what that is, yes, I'd like it, would I trade in my current gear for it. No.

96mp, why and imagine the file size?

Medium format, possibly, but would it actually be medium format. None of the high street digital cameras are. If it were, would it be affordable? Would it make be take better pics?

Tilt / shift lenses. I've got one, I don't like using it, so no. Too specialised.

Sorry, the camera industry is doomed. I cannot be tempted to buy any more gear ever. Promise!

Yes, the cheaper "MF" cameras are even smaller than APS-C vs FF. There are real MF digital cameras, but yeah, they are seriously pricy.

Even the pricy MF cameras aren't medium format. Check the sensor sizes out and compare them to MF film. They are bigger than 35mm, but they definitely aren't MF.

No, I am positive that it is me that's keeping them afloat, ask my other half. In all seriousness, there is nothing else needed to take good shots, we already have way more than we can need. It is only marketing now, they are convincing us that we need more in order to keep them going.

I want a good lightweight bag with wheels and rucksack straps. Ideally make it modular so that I only need one bag.
